Well over 200,000 young people were involved in the child-designed World Summit of Children Projects between 1995 and 2000. In March 2000 the World Summit of Children Projects achieved their goal when the Young General Assembly Charter was completed. The Charter was voted into force at the first Young General Assembly session held in Pomona, California, USA July 21-30, 2000.
